Alexandra Maria Lara, a Romanian and German actor who is employed in TV and film is most well-known for her roles in films such as Rush and Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. The only child of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu, Alexandra began her professional career in the show business from a young age. By the time she turned sixteen, she had secured prominent roles in a variety of television dramas. Her critically-acclaimed performance in the television film Der Tunnel paved way for more notable roles like the role of Secretary to Adolf Hitler Traudl Junge from the commercially and critically profitable Oscar nominated historical war film Downfall. The Reader is another Oscar nominated film featuring this divas. In the past, Alexandra has been involved in a variety of important international and national productions. These projects include the British biographical films, the British Control Greek Drama film The Dust of Time French Historical Miniseries Napoleon and many others. She has also been an official juror for the Transylvania International Film Festival as well as The Cannes Film Festival.
